INDOOR SCOREBOARDS:

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Blue Vane Industries has been manufacturing electronic scoring systems and race timers since 1972 and is Australias largest manufacturer with many thousands in service. Our scoreboards combine state-of-the-art design together with best engineering practice and high quality materials to produce a product which is an asset to your venue. Cabinets are constructed on computer controlled machinery for strength and smart appearance, and are finished inside and out with tough industrial enamel. The front panels of our scoreboards are made from polycarbonate which has a very high resistance to ball strikes such that in most situations, no additional protection is required.

LED DIGITAL DISPLAYS
Particular attention is given to the digital displays which in most models feature multiple rows of LEDs as the active medium. These have a brilliant appearance and enable easy viewing from a distance and over wide angle. They have the additional advantage of great longevity yet are extremely energy efficient, requireing relatively little operating power. Unlike light bulbs, which are still used by some manufacturers, LEDs are unbreakable and are unaffected by mechanical shock.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL CIRCUITRY
All digital displays and electronic control circuits are designed, manufactured and programmed in our own factory. Our designs reflect our experience of over 30 years in the electronics industry and result in products which are extremely reliable and unsurpassed value for money. Plug-in capability is provided on all parts to enable ready and inexpensive repair in the unlikely event of failure.

PLUG-IN CONTROL PANELS
Control panels on our scoreboards all have the following features:

Our Millennium and Pro series control panels include an LCD display which shows all scorboard timing and score functions. This means that the operator does not have to be able to see the scoreboard.

RADIO CONTROL PANELS
Optional radio control systems are avialable for most of our scoreboards and timers. The control units are very compact yet have an operating range of well over 100 metres. The signals are coded to avoid interferance from other radio equipment such as cell-phones etc. This coding also means that several such controllers can be used in the same venue on adjacent courts.

 

OUTDOOR SCOREBOARDS

CONSTRUCTION:
Our outdoor scoreboards are designed for permanent outdoor installation in all climates and are contained in galvanised steel framed cabinets clad with Colourbond sheet steel. This cladding in conjunction with other corrosion resistant materials such as aluminium and stainless steel, results in a finished product which will retain it's fine appearance and functionality for many years. Special flow-through ventillation is included to avoid solar heat buildup whilst at the same time retaining weatherproof and tropicproof integrity. Polycarbonate windows over the digital and alphanumeric displays protect against ball strikes and vandalism.

Outdoor scoreboards are available with either LEDs or electromagnetic displays as the active medium. We offer digit and alphanumeric sizes from 150 to 450mm. CONTROL PANELS
The operator's control panels are compact, robust, simple to use and are plugable for stowage. They are connected to the scoreboard via a low voltage, inexpensive, signal cable cable which should be conduited and trenched into the ground.

Radio control is also an option in some outdoor situations where trenching and laying a fixed cable is not practicable. These are available in two forms, a fixed station at the operator's location or a compact hand held portable unit.

Keyboards are provided to operate the alphanumeric team name indicators or variable message signs which may be incorporated.
